Perth Scorchers batsman Shaun Marsh has joined Yorkshire Vikings for the upcoming English version of the KFC Big Bash League.
Marsh heads to England on Sunday where he will play in the NatWest T20 Blast alongside Scorchers teammates David Willey and Tim Bresnan.
The opportunity came up with Yorkshire’s Aussie duo Travis Head and Peter Handscomb to miss matches due to upcoming national duties.
“I’ve only heard positive things about the Club from previous overseas players and can’t wait to be involved,” Marsh said.
“The NatWest T20 Blast is a strong competition and I’m looking forward to contributing to some wins.
“I’ll be looking to bring some experience to the group and obviously some runs would be nice too.
“I’ve played in a lot of T20 competitions now and hopefully I can bring most of what I’ve learned over the years to the group and have a really successful campaign together.”
The Vikings’ T20 campaign begins against Nottinghamshire at Headingley on July 7.Follow @ScorchersBBL on Instagram to keep up with how our players are performing in the off-season
