A Perth Scorchers Member is likely to be in hot demand for fortune-telling after she illustrated her love for the Club, while hinting at an intriguing setup for the KFC Big Bash League in years to come.
Young Erin, from Ellenbrook, used her artistic prowess to show her support for the Scorchers in the days leading up to the BBL|06 finals series and we thought we would share it here.
The on-brand orange piece was adorned with the message, "To Perth Scorchers: You guys are the best team ever! Hope you get into the finals!"
It was accompanied by a playoff-style table, through which Erin channelled her inner-Nostradamus to have the Scorchers taking out the BBL|06 Championship, which the Club went on to do (in real life).
That, in itself, was nice, albeit not overly surprising, as most fans hope their Club will win.
However, in getting to the Final, Erin showed Perth conquering the Brisbane Heat, Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes.
Keeping in mind this was drawn and sent pre-finals, fans will remember the teams the Scorchers played (and beat) on the way to the title were the Heat, Hurricanes, Stars and Sixers.
So, minus the absence of the Stars and the order of the wins, Erin was pretty spot-on.
The junior Picasso also offered some insight into her vision for the future structure of the competition, expanding the finals series to three rounds.
Of course, Erin was more than likely referring to the regular-season in her "qualifying" stage, but as discussions on what the future of the BBL looks like, it's intriguing to ponder the potential of football-style Qualifying Finals preceding the Semi-Finals and Final.
An expansion would have to take place first, but who knows what the future holds.
Perhaps Erin will prove spot-on, once again.
