Mathilda Carmichael

Carmichael joined the Perth Scorchers ahead of the 2016-17 season, having previously represented New South Wales at under-age level. The right-handed top-order batswoman had focused on hockey over the past four years, playing for the Hockeyroos before missing selection for the 2016 Rio Olympics, offering her the chance with the Scorchers.

Carmichael impressed with Melville during the 2015-16 season, scoring 337 runs and taking seven wickets in six 50-over matches, while she showed some promise in four WNCL games during the 2016-17 season.
