Intro
He was one of last summer’s revelations, and WA cricket icon Brad Hogg is back for a second stint with the team he loves, the Perth Scorchers.
Hoggy turned back the clock in BBL|01, playing all nine matches for the Scorchers and often turning the fortunes of each contest. He took 13 wickets for the tournament and conceded just 5.61 runs per over.
The man who was just shy of his 41st birthday had the sell-out crowds at The Furnace in raptures, with chants of ‘Hoggy’ ringing through the ears of opposing batsmen.
BBL|01 was a launching pad for further T20 success as he played two KFC T20 international matches for Australia against India almost four years after retiring from top level cricket.
Hoggy then played in domestic T20 comps across the world, taking his tongue and beaming smile everywhere he went!
