The talented top-order, left-handed Shaun Marsh has represented Australia in all three forms of the game, but flourishes in the shortest. Marsh is an excellent Twenty20 player and has represented Kings XI Punjab in the IPL, having made his Australian debut in the shortest form of the game in June 2008. Marsh made a memorable century on his Test debut against South Africa in September 2011, but during the following summer lost his Test spot after poor form in the series against India. Marsh re-discovered some of his best form during BBL|02 where he finished as the tournament's leading run scorer with 412 runs, including five half-centuries. The performance had Marsh named in the BBL’s Team of the Year and he took that form into the 2013 Indian Premier League, where he was at his swashbuckling best with 300 runs from eight matches, including 39 fours and four sixes. Marsh played for WA at Under 17 and Under 19 levels, before impressing at the 1999-2000 Under 19 World Cup, where he finished second top scorer.
Powerful big hitter and instinctively ‘gets’ the game. When he goes, no ground can hold him!
