Short form superstar AJ Tye obliterated the Stars batting line up at #TheFurnace on Boxing Day, claiming 5-23 to help defeat the Melbourne side by 13 runs.

Tye, 4-21 (3.4) – GAME 1 v Sixers (23 Dec 2017)

Claiming his third hat-trick in 12 months AJ Tye cleaned up the Sixers tail-end to earn a six wicket victory in the Scorchers first match of BBL|07.

Johnson, 3-13 (4) GAME 3 v Renegades (29 Dec 2017)

The patriarch of pace bowling, Mitch Johnson delivered a devastating spell against the Melbourne Renegades, claiming 3-13 in four blistering overs to push the Scorchers to a three wicket win.

Agar, 3-19 (4) – GAME 8 v Strikers (13 Jan 2018)

All-rounder Ashton Agar whipped through the Strikers middle-order causing a batting collapse in the first Big Bash match played in Alice Springs, where the Scorchers claimed victory by six wickets.

Agar, 2-14 (4) – GAME 9 v Hurricanes (20 Jan 2018)

In one of the cleanest bowling displays of the summer, left handed spinner Ash Agar took 2-14, including one maiden over in the Scorchers five wicket win over the Hurricanes at #TheFurnace. After Agar’s third over he was sitting on 2-5 claiming the big wickets of Dan Christian and Ben McDermott.
