Elevated in the batting order, Chloe Piparo played an excellent support innings to finish 33* in a match winning 102-run partnership with her captain.
After winning the toss and electing to field, a disciplined and economical performance from the Perth bowlers restricted the Renegades to 3-122 from their 20 overs.
Taneale Peschel’s rich vein of form continued, the quick took 2-17 from her four overs.
The Scorchers return to the Sydney Showground Stadium to take on the Sydney Thunder in a top-four clash tomorrow, Sunday 15 November at 7.20am WST.
After the game, Player of the Match Sophie Devine said;
“I thought our death overs [when bowling] were the best we’ve had all competition, so it’s really nice to see that our plans and how we’ve adapted over the competition is starting to pay dividends.
“Chloe Piparo was fantastic today… she did a great job, backed her strengths and took the game head-on.
“We’ve had a couple of wins in a row and the team is gelling really well, I think it’s a really important phase of the competition… when we get on a bit of a roll it’s about maintaining that.”
