The Perth Scorchers can confirm their KFC Big Bash League clash against the Melbourne Stars has been rescheduled to Tuesday 11 January at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong, following the League’s confirmation on an adjusted schedule for the next week of BBL|11 matches.

This match, originally scheduled to be played on Thursday 30 December, was postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test result in the Stars’ camp.

The adjusted BBL|11 fixture also sees the start time for the Scorchers match against the Adelaide Strikers, scheduled for Adelaide Oval on Friday 14 January, brought forward to 7:40amWST.

Given the escalating situation around the country in relation to COVID-19 and the recent outbreaks across the BBL that are having an impact on matches, teams will be relocating to Victoria progressively over the next few days as part of a bio-security overlay.

Teams who have interstate matches will continue to play those under a fly-in, fly-out model to further mitigate risk.

The League will confirm the schedule for the remainder of the regular season in coming days.
