Match Day Areas | Scorchers-Stars

13 January 2017

Sunset Bar // Chris Kerr

We want you to make the most of your time at #TheFurnace at the final regular-season home match, so here's the areas worth checking out.

The final regular-season KFC Big Bash League |06 match has arrived and it will bring with it a post-match fireworks display to celebrate the most important Scorchers of all – you, the fans.

The Scorchers will on Saturday celebrate two huge milestones, with an unprecedented 10th-consecutive regular-season sell-out expected to result in the Club’s 500,000th fan walking through the gates.

That’s half a million of you since the inaugural BBL|01 who have enjoyed all the excitement of the Big Bash and #TheFurnace.

From the action on the field, to the activities in the Fan Zones or chill-out areas, BBL|06 has had something for everyone at #TheFurnace.

Every home match has embraced a theme this season, with the final match celebrating the impact the WBBL has had on cricket across Australia, with massive increases in participation levels among girls and women.

That impact will be recognised with the first double-header of the season, with the WBBL clash between the Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers starting at 1:35PM and the BBL|06 game against the Melbourne Stars starting at 6:15PM.

Gates to the Ground are opening at 1PM, so if you have a BBL ticket, ensure you get down to #TheFurnace to support your Scorchers.

In addition, the curtain-raising MILO T20 Blast matches on-ground will feature only girls, with the young players getting the thrill of playing on the hallowed surface of the WACA Ground.

The day will end with a fireworks display to say thank you to the Club’s fans for all the support, so if you have tickets to the match, ensure you stick around and enjoy the show.

Here’s what else is on offer this Saturday:

Fan Zone fun // Keane Bourke

Fan Zones:

There are two Fan Zones at #TheFurnace: one located on either side of the ground.

The zone located on the West Bank offers the Fan Photo Booth and some giveaways, while the zone on the east side on the practice wicket offers plenty of fun and games.

We’ll have a Spongebob Bouncy Castle, Holman Misting Station, Kleenheat Speed Radar, ToxFree Bin Toss, Competitions from REIWA and Homeloans, United As One Booth, Scorchers Cricket Activities and Airbrush Tattoos.

The Orangery // Keane Bourke

Eateries and beverages:

Our new areas – The Orangery (located on the northern perimeter near Gate 3) and The Sunset Bar (located at the south-west corner of #TheFurnace), will be open as an option to relax away from the action in-bowl. The usual eateries around #TheFurnace will be available for fans to access as normal.

Members Marquee // Keane Bourke

Members Marquee:

As it has been all season, the Members Marquee (located on the northern side of the ground near Perth Scorchers Members seating) will be bustling with passionate fans throughout the evening, and we encourage all Scorchers Members to give it a visit.

United As One Information Booth // Keane Bourke

Our giveaways never stop! We’ll have REIWA LED Wristbands, Homeloans 4&6 Cards and Autograph books available. The giveaway stations will be dotted around #TheFurnace, at Gate 8 (WACA Members Entrance), Gate 2 and 3 (northern side) and Gate 6 (western side).

We look forward to seeing you at #TheFurnace - GO SCORCHERS!
