After surviving a last-ball thriller against the second-placed Adelaide Strikers yesterday, the Scorchers then held their nerve to down the top-placed Thunder at Karen Rolton Oval.
All-rounder Heather Graham was the star with bat and ball.
After thumping two sixes in her unbeaten 33 off 20 balls to lift the Scorchers to 5-151, player-of-the-match Graham then snared 3-22 off four overs to deliver back to back wins.
The Scorchers wobbled early in their batting innings after openers Meg Lanning (6) and Amy Jones (6) fell cheaply.
The middle order responded, Graham's late flurry with the bat provided the polish to the foundation provided by Nat Sciver (37) and Georgia Redmayne (35.)
Seamers Taneale Peschel (2-20) and Kim Garth (1-21) toiled hard with the ball before Graham’s sublime spell spelled the end for the Thunder.
The Scorchers head home with four wins and three losses and will take on the Thunder again on Tuesday at the WACA Ground.
