The Final coming to Optus Stadium

The Perth Scorchers are thrilled to announce they will fire up #TheFurnace at the world-class Optus Stadium this Saturday for the 2021 Weber Women’s Big Bash League Final.

Following the weekend’s final round of home and away games the Scorchers have finished first on the WBBL ladder and earned the right to progress directly to and host The Final this Saturday 27 November here in Perth.

The Scorchers have now made six finals appearances in the seven seasons of the WBBL helping to drive a strong supporter base in WA.

The growth of the WBBL and Perth Scorchers has been huge over the past seven years, breaking TV audience records and consistently hosting strong crowds.

WA Cricket CEO, Christina Matthews said;

“Firstly, a huge congratulations to our players for making their third consecutive finals campaign!

“Leading by example, Sophie Devine and her team have put on some outstanding performances and produced some incredible cricket to watch.

“Optus Stadium is a fitting choice for the Finals given the rise in popularity of the Scorchers and the WBBL, allowing the WA community to come out in full force.

“We want to break the record for the highest attended standalone women’s sporting event in the State, which is currently 41,900 for the AFLW’s Derby Match held at the Optus Stadium, so I urge everyone to get down to the stadium this Saturday and cheer on the Scorchers.”

Tickets for The Final go on sale via Ticketmaster at 9:00amWST tomorrow, Monday 22 November, with seats to the big battle going for just $10 for adults, $5 for concessions and 15 years and under go free.
