The Perth Scorchers have made one change to their 13-player squad ahead of this weekend’s Weber Women’s Big Bash League double-header against the Hobart Hurricanes at the WACA Ground.

Hard-hitting batter Amy Edgar comes into the squad for the first time this season, replacing Lisa Griffith.

Griffith will miss both matches against the Hurricanes due to a low grade back injury, an update on her availability will be provided in due course.

Perth are in sizzling form following a mid-week demolition of the ladder-leading Melbourne Renegades.

At the halfway mark of the competition the Scorchers sit inside the top-four and can boost their finals ambitions with back-to-back wins over the Hurricanes.

Beth Mooney leads the WBBL|07 for runs scored with 272 at 54.40, including a magnificent unbeaten 101 against the Renegades, while teammate Sophie Devine sits third with 236 runs at 39.33.

Spin twins Lilly Mills and Alana King have both thrived in orange this season, the pair have collected 18 scalps between them bowling in tandem through the middle overs.

The action-packed WACA Ground weekend is the last opportunity for Members and fans to see the team play live during the home and away season.
