Squad Named For Thunder Clash

19 January 2020

The Perth Scorchers have announced one change to their 13-player squad ahead of tomorrow’s clash with the Sydney Thunder at Optus Stadium.

The Scorchers don their specially designed Indigenous shirts for this clash, which sees Local Replacement Player Liam Guthrie return to the side.

The BBL Technical Committee has approved the following changes;

Ins: Liam Guthrie
Outs: Jaron Morgan (omitted)

Patterson made his debut for the Scorchers in last night’s game against the Stars in Melbourne and will play in the Scorchers’ Indigenous themed round tomorrow night at Optus Stadium.

To celebrate Western Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures again this season the Scorchers will wear their Indigenous shirt.

The match will also feature a Welcome to Country and players from both sides will form a Barefoot Circle.

The ball for the Scorchers’ Indigenous themed game won’t be a Kookaburra, it will be a ‘KAA-KAA’, the word for Kookaburra used by the Whadjuk people.
