Kath Hempenstall has been rewarded for her brilliant form in the WNCL, securing a Scorchers contract for the 2019 rebel Women’s Big Bash League season. Hempenstall is a right arm medium pacer who will provide plenty of experience to the group. The 30-year-old was apart of the Victorian Women’s set up for nearly 10 years, before deciding to come across the Nullarbor to Western Australia. She took six wickets in three appearances for WA in last season’s Women’s National Cricket League, boasting best figures of 3-15.
