Perth Scorchers fast bowler Andrew Tye has been ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League after dislocating his left shoulder.
Tye suffered the dislocation when fielding in the Gujarat Lions match against the Mumbai Indians on Saturday night.
Tye’s shoulder was put back into place at hospital but the extent of the injury remains unclear with the 30-year-old to fly home for the next stage of his recovery.

"Unfortunately this is the end of the tournament for me," Tye said.
"As heartbreaking as it is, I have enjoyed my time here.
"The people at Gujarat Lions have looked after me well. The fans have been unbelievable.
"The messages of support and good wishes I have got from everyone have been overwhelming.
"All I can say is, thanks to the fans and the franchise for giving me this opportunity and hopefully I will be back in the IPL next year."
Tye injured his left shoulder playing for Scarborough in Premier Cricket on the eve of BBL|06 but didn’t miss a game, before helping the side win the title and collecting the Simon Katich Medal himself.
The Scorchers fast bowler had enjoyed a strong IPL campaign, having taken a record five-wicket haul on debut which included a hat-trick.
Tye finished with 12 wickets from six games, with a super average of 11.75 and economy rate of 6.71.
He sits equal third for most wickets in this season’s IPL despite the injury and only playing six games.
