Perth Scorchers are pleased to announce Adam Voges will continue in his role as Head Coach for at least another season, signing with the Club until the end of KFC BBL|16.
Adam Voges To Lead Scorchers In BBL|16
It will be Voges’ ninth season as Head Coach, having taken over from Justin Langer ahead of BBL|08.
The Scorchers have enjoyed an outstanding run of success during Voges’ tenure, winning back-to-back titles in BBL|11 and BBL|12.
Voges also took the Scorchers to the final of BBL|10, just his third season in the role.
Success also followed Voges as Scorchers captain, skippering championships in BBL|04 and BBL|06 after being part of the Club’s first title-winning team in BBL|03.
The announcement means the Scorchers and WA Men’s team will have separate Head Coaches for the first time, after Voges made the decision last month to leave the WA Men’s team role to explore coaching opportunities in franchise cricket at the end of the 2025-26 domestic season.
The Scorchers host their traditional Boxing Day Bash at Optus Stadium tonight, where they’ll take on reigning champions Hobart Hurricanes before a packed crowd.
Voges said he was looking forward to continuing his successful association with the Scorchers.
“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to continue in my role with Perth Scorchers.
“The Club has been a huge part of my playing and coaching journey. The goal is to continue the Scorchers’ proud legacy on and off the field.
“We have a brilliant playing group and support staff that are committed and driven to succeed.
“We also have an incredibly passionate supporter base and I’m looking forward to seeing them in full force today against the Hurricanes”
Perth Scorchers General Manager – High Performance Cricket and Elite Teams, Kade Harvey said he was pleased to retain Voges' services.
“We’re thrilled Adam will be continuing as Head Coach of the Scorchers for at least another season.
“Adam has coached our Club to two BBL championships, on top of three Sheffield Shield and four One-Day Cup titles for WA.
“His credentials are clearly outstanding, having played a key role in establishing the standards and culture that has driven so much of WA Cricket’s recent success.
“It was a priority for us to retain Adam’s deep knowledge of Western Australian cricket, while also understanding and respecting his decision to depart WA to pursue global franchise opportunities.”
