Allen, Hardie Named in BBL|15 Team of the Tournament

Explosive opener Finn Allen and prolific allrounder Aaron Hardie have been rewarded for outstanding campaigns with selection in the KFC BBL|15 Team of the Tournament.

The honorary side is compiled from teams submitted by each of the competition’s eight head coaches after the regular season.

Allen’s selection marks the first time he’s featured in the team in just his second BBL season, belting a competition record 37 sixes among 430 runs at 43, to date.

Hardie is no stranger to individual accolades at the end of a BBL season, having been named in the Team of the Tournament in BBL|12 and BBL|13 as well as winning the 2023-24 Simon Katich Medal as the Scorchers' best male player that summer.

The destructive allrounder has been a mainstay of the Scorchers’ top order this season, striking 334 runs at 41.75, on top of 11 wickets at 24.45 with the ball.

Allen and Hardie will be a part of a Scorchers side eying an unprecedented sixth KFC BBL title, having earned hosting rights for The Final on Tuesday night by toppling fierce rivals Sydney Sixers in a low-scoring showdown at The Furnace.

Their opponent will be determined tomorrow night when Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes face off in The Challenger at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The first allocation of tickets for the KFC BBL|15 Final was exhausted just 34 minutes after becoming available to the general public.

All remaining tickets go on sale Saturday at 10AM, WA time, as the Club looks to eclipse its record home crowd of 53,886 six that attended the thrilling BBL|12 decider.

Their opponent will be determined Friday when the Sixers host the Hobart Hurricanes at the SCG.

Adding to the spectacle, Aussie indie rockers The Jungle Giants will headline the entertainment with two sets on the KFC FLG Stage – one pre-game, and another during the innings.
