Hardie’s Peshwar Zalmi Set For PSL Final

Perth Scorchers allrounder Aaron Hardie's Pakistan Super League side Peshawar Zalmi are set for Sunday night's final in Lahore.

Hardie was at his best in Tuesday night’s Qualifier against Islamabad United, hitting 20 off 10 balls and taking 3-24 off his four overs in the 70-run win.

It continued a strong run of form for Hardie since he made his return to the side through the middle part of the season.

The 27-year-old scored an unbeaten 18 and 26 in consecutive wins over Quetta Gladiators on return to the side, while taking two wickets in the second of those wins.

Peshawar Zalmi will take on the winner of tonight’s second Qualifier between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Islamabad United.

Scorchers Captain Ashton Turner’s 2026 PSL campaign came to an end on Wednesday when his Multan Sultan’s went down to Hyderabad by eight wickets.

Turner finished his campaign with 220 runs at 36.66 with a strike rate of 171.87.

Meanwhile, several Scorchers players will continue their Indian Premier League campaigns this weekend.

Opening batter Mitchell Marsh has been one of the consistent performers for the struggling Lucknow Super Giants, who have registered just two wins from their eight matches.

Marsh is the leading run scorer for the Super Giants to date, with 212 runs at 26.50 and a strike rate of 133.33 to his name.

Marsh and the Super Giants will be in action against Mumbai Indians on Monday night.

Fellow top-order batter Cooper Connolly has been a key part of Punjab Kings surge to top spot on the ladder after eight games, scoring 270 runs at 45 and a strike rate of 168.75.

Despite suffering their first loss of the campaign to Rajasthan on Tuesday, Connolly belted two fours and five sixes in his 14-ball 30.

Connolly will next be in action on Sunday night when Punjab Kings take on Gujarat Titans at Ahmedabad.

Alongside Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh and Captain Shreyas Iyer, Connolly has helped cement his side’s standing as one of the leading challengers for this year’s title.

Finn Allen and David Payne are the other two Scorchers involved in the tournament for Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.
