Scorchers Set to Light up WBBL|12
Released today, the fixtures have the Scorchers playing in multiple marquee matches, at home and in the eastern states.
After launching their season against Melbourne Renegades on Halloween (31 October), the Scorchers will call the east coast home for a week.
Rolling into Victoria for a red-hot clash against Melbourne Stars on Monday 2 November, the Scorchers then head to New South Wales to set up base for the rest of the road trip.
First taking on Sydney Thunder at Drummoyne Oval as part of a double header at the ground on Thursday 5 November, the Scorchers will then head 20 minutes down the road to North Sydney Oval to take on bitter rivals Melbourne Stars on Sunday 8 November.
A week in home comforts during the middle period of the season awaits, starting with a clash against Sydney Thunder on Wednesday 11 November.
In what will be a massive weekend of cricket, the Scorchers will celebrate their First Nation’s Round against Adelaide Strikers on Saturday November 14 at the WACA Ground, the day after the first One-Day International between Australia and England at Perth Stadium.
Back on the road, the Scorchers will tackle Hobart Hurricanes in a Grand Final rematch at Allen Boarder Field on Thursday November 19 and in quick succession face Sydney Sixers at North Sydney Oval on Saturday November 21.
Showcasing the very best of the newly redeveloped WACA Ground under lights, the Scorchers will take on the Hurricanes, for the second time in nine days, on Friday 27 November.
Perth Scorchers will round out their regular home and away season in Adelaide, facing Brisbane Heat at Karen Rolton Oval (Sunday 29 November).
Four Scorchers games will be simulcast by Channel 7, with the remaining games to be shown on Foxtel, Kayo and Cricket.com.au.
Perth Scorchers General Manager - High Performance Cricket & Elite Teams Kade Harvey said he is looking forward to welcoming Members and fans back for another thrilling season of WBBL.
“Having three of our home games scheduled across weekends is a fantastic outcome for our Members and fans.
“The weekend fixtures create a brilliant atmosphere at the redeveloped WACA Ground, and we’re excited to deliver some big moments in front of our supporters.
“Having a longer stint in New South Wales as part of our first travel leg will help to minimise the impact of travel and ensure the team are well-prepared and performing at its best throughout the campaign.
“It’s shaping as a really balanced and exciting fixture and we’re looking forward to welcoming our Members and fans back through the gate for another big season of the WBBL.”
