Perth Scorchers thank Finn Allen

KFC BBL|15 Champion Finn Allen has informed Perth Scorchers of his intention to join Melbourne stars for the upcoming Big Bash season.

Allen joined the Scorchers in BBL|14 and hit his stride the following campaign, earning a spot atop the order in the BBL|15 Team of the Tournament.

The New Zealander hit a BBL record 38 sixes in the Scorchers’ sixth title-winning campaign, highlighted by a blistering century against Melbourne Renegades at Marvel Stadium.

Allen was also named Player of the Match in the Scorchers’ thrilling win in The Qualifier over Sydney Sixers at Optus Stadium, helping secure a home final at the venue in the process.

The 27-year-old finishes his time at the Scorchers with 647 runs from 21 matches at 30.80.

His strike rate of 184.33 is the highest for any recognised batter across the Club’s rich history.

Allen’s move to the Stars sets up an enticing Boxing Day Bash, where he will return to Optus Stadium for the first time since last season’s decider.
