Ruby no longer a stranger to Perth Scorchers

Strange made her debut for the Scorchers last season against the Adelaide Strikers where she took two wickets, including decorated international star Tammy Beaumont within in her first five deliveries.

The pace bowler went on to play in ten matches for the season, including the three pulsating games of the finals series which saw the team travel to three different states in a five-day period.

Strange's signing is a further boost to the Scorchers' pace bowling unit, which features rising star Chloe Ainsworth and Ebony Hoskin.

The 23-year-old also featured in Queensland's title-winning WNCL team last season.

Strange has made her move to Perth permanent, signing with Western Australia from this season.

Strange said she is excited to don the orange once again, this summer.

"I'm thrilled to be back with the Scorchers for WBBL|12. Last season gave me a great platform to learn and grow, and I'm excited to build on that momentum this year,” she said.

"We have a talented squad and a strong culture, and I'm looking forward to playing my role and continuing to improve alongside some outstanding teammates."

Perth Scorchers General Manager Kade Harvey said Strange is a pleasing addition to lock away as soon as the WBBL Player embargo lifted.
