Be there when the Scorchers make history in India.
Tickets for historic Chennai clash on sale Saturday
Tickets for Perth Scorchers’ historic KFC BBL|16 season opener against the Melbourne Renegades in Chennai go on sale this Saturday, 10 October at 2:30pm AWST.
The match at the iconic M. A. Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday 12 December will be the first Big Bash League game ever played outside Australia. It is poised to become the most-watched game in the history of Australian domestic league sport.
Thousands of fans have already registered their interest, so the Orange Army is encouraged to be ready when tickets go live.
The Scorchers head to Chennai as defending champions, having won a record-extending sixth BBL title last summer. That title made them the most successful cricketing franchise in the world.
The match is the centrepiece of the G’day Namaste program, supported by the Australian Government and the Centre for Australia-India Relations through a Maitri grant.
The Renegades are hosting the fixture, so Scorchers Members and fans will still enjoy a full suite of five regular season home games at Optus Stadium this summer.
Fans wanting to make the trip can book travel packages through the Cricket Australia Travel Office (CATO), available from $3,082AUD per person twin share. Each package includes accommodation, a match ticket and Chennai sightseeing, with the option of a Golden Triangle extension after the match.
Numbers are strictly limited, so call CATO on 1-300-133-232 to secure your place or click here for more information.
