The talented wicketkeeper-batter signed a two-year deal with Perth ahead of the 2022-23 Weber Women’s Big Bash League but is yet to make her debut. She had a breakout season for WA in the Women’s National Cricket League, scoring 475 runs atop the order to earn herself a call-up to the Australian A Squad’s tour to the UK in June.
A player with a sound technique and the capability of batting long periods, Darke has been able to expand her game in her two seasons with WA and will be hoping to replicate her 50-over form into the shorter format. An exciting prospect, Darke is a player to watch in WBBL |09.
