50 players have been given Platinum status for the Weber WBBL|09 and KFC BBL|13 Overseas Player Drafts happening this Sunday, September 3.
Platinum players announced ahead of Big Bash Drafts
25 players for each Draft were today named on the Platinum list, making them eligible to be Drafted in the first round within the top salary band.
Of the 25, five of them are former Scorchers, including title-winning captain Sophie Devine and reigning Scorchers WBBL Player of the Year Marizanne Kapp.

Local players from across the Big Bash Leagues gathered in Melbourne today for the launch of the Weber WBBL|09 and KFC BBL|13 Drafts.
About the KFC BBL & Weber WBBL Overseas Player Drafts
The Weber WBBL and KFC BBL Overseas Player Drafts are the primary way for Clubs to recruit overseas players for the upcoming seasons.
The Drafts will feature four rounds, with clubs able to select a minimum of two and maximum of three players in total, each Club will be required to pass in at least one round.
There will be four categories in which players can be selected on Draft night: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Salaries for each category have been set at globally competitive rates, with Platinum the highest player payment.
