Pathway to the Pitch

For young students passionate about sport and dreaming of a career in the sporting industry, the Perth Scorchers Institute offers a seamless educational experience for those graduating from high school.

SEDA Collage WA is a leading senior secondary school, which partners with Perth Scorchers and who are focused on applied, real-world learning.

Students complete their year 11 and 12 while immersed in a hands-on sports environment which integrates the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) with vocational education and training (VET).

One of the standout opportunities at SEDA College is the Perth Scorchers Sports Development Program, where aspiring cricketers stud their senior secondary qualifications alongside specialist cricket development activities, work placements with WA Cricket and the involvement at the iconic WACA Ground.

Prospective students start at SEDA College by applying online or attending an information evening through SEDA's admission team.

After graduation from SEDA College, students can further their studies by applying for the Perth Scorchers Institute of Sport and Business.

The program, developed in partnership between the Perth Scorchers and Murdoch University, offers a one-year Diploma of Sport and Business delivered at elite high-performance facilities.

Here, students build technical, business, and industry skills, gain 100 hours of practical work-integrated learning, and expand their professional network with coaches, staff and players.

From there, graduates can register their interest in the Perth Scorchers Institute via the website, complete a pre-application form, attend an interview and then apply through Murdoch University to secure your spot.
