Several members of the Perth Scorchers KFC BBL|15 Championship winning squad are set to show their talents to the rest of the world this week, with the Pakistan Super League and Indian Premier League getting underway.
BBL Players Set To Feature Abroad
Here’s all you need to know about where some of our Scorchers’ stars will feature over the coming weeks.
Josh Inglis (IPL - Lucknow Super Giants)
After helping Punjab Kings to the final last season, Josh Inglis has made the move to Lucknow Super Giants for the 2026 edition of the IPL. Inglis did everything in his power to help Punjab Kings to a title last season, making 39 in the final, but they just fell short of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The wicketkeeper-batter will have an abbreviated stint this season though, taking the initial phase of the tournament off for his wedding.
Lucknow Super Giants first match is against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday 1 April at 10:00PM WST.
Mitchell Marsh (IPL – Lucknow Super Giants)
Having switched to Lucknow ahead of last year’s tournament, Marsh enjoyed his best season yet. The powerful batter smashed 627 runs at an average of 48.23, including his first IPL century against Gujarat Titans. Marsh will again suit up for Lucknow this season, where he’s likely to form a key part of a potent batting line up with South Africa’s Aiden Markram and India’s Rishabh Pant.
Cooper Connolly (IPL – Punjab Kings)
The up-and-coming allrounder will feature in the IPL for the first time in 2026, having been taken by Punjab Kings in December’s auction. He’s one of several Australians at the franchise, including Mitch Owen and Marcus Stoinis.
Punjab Kings first match is against Gujarat Titans on Tuesday 31 March at 10:00PM WST.
David Payne (IPL – Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Two months after being named Player of the Match in the BBL|15 Final, Payne was unveiled as a replacement for Australian Jack Edwards at Sunrisers Hyderabad. Having featured in championship winning teams for Perth and Desert Vipers in the BBL and ILT20 respectively already this year, Payne now gets a chance to show his wears in the IPL for the first time.
Sunrisers Hyderabad first match is against defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday 28 March.
Finn Allen (IPL – Kolkata Knight Riders)
Fresh from his heroics that saw him hit a record number of sixes in a BBL season, Allen is set to make his IPL debut with Kolkata Knight Riders. The opening batter carried his form from the BBL into the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka earlier this month, including a 33-ball century in the semi-final against South Africa. Allen will be joined at Kolkata by WA allrounder Cameron Green.
Kolkata Knight Riders first match is against Mumbai Indians on Sunday 29 March at 10:00PM.
Aaron Hardie (PSL – Peshawar Zalmi)
Having been in the Punjab Kings squad in the IPL last season, Hardie has made his way to the PSL this season. Hardie joins former Perth Scorcher Tymal Mills at Peshawar Zalmi, as well as star batters Babar Azam and James Vince.
Peshawar Zalmi’s first game is against Rawlpindi Pindiz on Saturday 28 March at 5:30PM.
Ashton Turner (PSL – Multan Sultans)
The fearless leader of Perth, Turner heads to the PSL to captain the Multan Sultans. The powerful right-hander featured in the PSL on three occasions last season. Turner forms part of a potent batting line up for Multan Sultans, which also features Shan Masood, Josh Phillippe and Steve Smith.
Multan Sultans first game is against Islamabad United on Saturday 28 March at 10:00PM.
