Ashton Turner is another exciting local product for the Perth Scorchers, as a talented all-rounder. Turner offers big-hitting ability in the middle order and right-arm off-spin and is seen as a future leader, having captained a series of representative sides.

Turner made his WA debut in the Ryobi One-Day Cup against Tasmania, smashing an impressive 51 off 43 deliveries on debut, whilst picking up the wicket of Australia ODI star George Bailey to finish with 1-32. During the 2012-13 season, Turner got further opportunities to take on top cricketers such as Mahela Jayawardena, Kumar Sangakkara and Darren Sammy as part of the Chairman's XI and Prime Minister's XI Select matches.
