Agar has long been viewed as one of Australia's premier limited overs bowlers. 

An economical left-arm orthodox spinner with excellent composure, impressive control and numerous variations, Agar found himself regularly featuring in Australian T20 squads earlier in the decade. 

The tall left-hander also strikes the ball powerfully while batting in the lower-middle-order and stands among the country's most dynamic fielders. 

In the first T20I match against South Africa in 2019, he became only the second Australian bowler to take a hat-trick in a T20I match and finished with figures of 5-24.

Agar bettered that effort in March, 2021, when he collected 6-30 against New Zealand in Wellington. This remains the only time an Australian bowler has taken six wickets in a T20I match. 

A Victorian native who joined WA ahead of the 2012-13 domestic season, Agar notched his 100th appearance for the Scorchers during BBL|15, joining Ashton Turner, AJ Tye and Jason Behrendorff to have reached the milestone. 

Agar claimed the Simon Katich Medal as Perth Scorchers' best-and-fairest player of BBL|11, contributing significantly during the Club's title-winning campaign. 

While Agar missed the BBL|12 Final due to being with the Australian team in India, he was at his economical best during his 10 matches for the side.

Injury prevented the allrounder from featuring in the second half of the successful BBL|15 campaign but was an important contributor during the first six games of the tournament.
