Bowler
Since making his debut in BBL|05, Richardson has developed into one of the competition's pre-eminent pace bowlers.
Little more than a year after his debut, Richardson featured in the victorious BBL|06 team that defeated Sydney Sixers at the WACA Ground, taking 3-30 to keep the visitors to a modest total batting first.
After playing in the second Test of the 2021-22 Ashes series, Richardson was a welcome inclusion for the Scorchers during the second half of the successful BBL|11 campaign. He would go on to take the last two wickets of the Final to secure a commanding win over the Sixers.
His love of playing the Sixers continued into BBL|12, recording his best figures as a Scorcher of 4-9 in a tense win at Optus Stadium.
While he didn't play in the BBL|12 Final, he was one of the key contributors in the side that beat the Sixers in the BBL|15 Final, taking 3-32 to again keep the men in magenta to a chaseable total.
Richardson is one of just three bowlers to have taken more than 100 wickets for the Scorchers, alongside AJ Tye and Jason Behrendorff.
With 113 wickets from 82 matches at the age of 29, there's a distinct possibility Richardson finishes his career at the Scorchers as the club's leading wicket taker.
Richardson's pace makes him a valuable strike bowler for the Scorchers in the powerplay, while his wide-ranging skillset also holds him in good stead at the end of an innings.
