Perth Scorchers have made one change to their 13-player squad for tomorrow’s Weber WBBL|09 clash with Sydney Sixers at the WACA Ground, welcoming the return of young gun Chloe Ainsworth.

The exciting pace bowler is back in the mix for selection after being rested for the Scorchers’ loss to Melbourne Stars at the CitiPower Centre yesterday.

Ainsworth has enjoyed a remarkable start to her WBBL career, taking 3-25 against the Hurricanes in Perth last Wednesday to earn Player of the Match honours in just her third appearance.
That performance saw Ainsworth claim temporary ownership of the BKT Golden Cap as the competition’s leading wicket-taker, beginning the campaign with seven scalps from three games.
The 18-year-old replaces seamer Zoe Britcliffe, who has been omitted from the extended squad.
After starting the tournament with a heavy travel load, the Scorchers will play their next three games at the WACA Ground, starting with tomorrow’s Halloween-themed contest against the Sixers.
They’ll then meet Melbourne Renegades on Friday, before the Club’s annual Aboriginal match against Adelaide Strikers on Sunday.
