Perth Scorchers fans can look forward to another summer stacked full of blockbusters, with fixtures for the KFC BBL|15 season released this morning.
Fixtures Announced! Primetime Scorchers To Launch BBL|15
As revealed last month, the Scorchers will launch BBL|15 at Optus Stadium when they host bitter rivals Sydney Sixers on Sunday 14 December.
Perth smashed the crowd record for a BBL season-opener last year, welcoming 30,469 fans through the gates for their triumph over Melbourne Stars. The strong attendance was supported by a combined interim average audience of one million views on Seven, 7plus, Foxtel and Kayo Sports.

Pitted against the Sixers, their opponent in five BBL deciders to date, the Scorchers are aiming to hit the ground running by setting new viewership and attendance benchmarks.
The Boxing Day Bash is fast becoming a summer tradition for the Orange Army, which will be barracking for Perth to spoil defending champions Hobart Hurricanes’ festive plans.
Adelaide Strikers are the first visitors of 2026, playing under lights at the Furnace on Sunday 4 January.
Later that week on Wednesday 7 January, the Scorchers and Melbourne Renegades will resume hostilities in four-time champion Jason Behrendorff’s first game against Perth after trading orange for red during the off-season.
Scorcher-turned-Renegade-turned-Scorcher Laurie Evans is also poised to take on a few familiar faces, having been snapped up by Perth in the recent BBL Draft.
The Scorchers wrap up their regular season at home against Melbourne Stars on Saturday 17 January before the BBL Finals series begins on Tuesday 20 January.
Perth’s travel schedule, meanwhile, has been condensed into three blocks on the East Coast where they’ll play Brisbane Heat (19 December, the Gabba), Sydney Thunder (30 December, ENGIE Stadium), Hobart Hurricanes (1 January, Ninja Stadium), Adelaide Strikers (11 January, Adelaide Oval) and the Renegades (15 January, Marvel Stadium).

Quotes attributable to Perth Scorchers General Manager, Jess Keily:
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to kick the Big Bash off in style once again. The Sixers have also been rivals of ours for years – it’s a genuine blockbuster.
“The Boxing Day Bash has become one of the flagship events of our summer, and something Scorchers Members and fans absolutely love. The fact we’re playing the reigning champions elevates it to another level.
“Four of our five home games fall on the weekend, which is an incredible result, while we feature prominently in that primetime TV slot.
“Big Bash season is the best time of year, so we’re looking forward to seeing the Orange Army in full force at the Furnace.”
