Australian Under-19 fast bowler Richardson is elevated to the Scorchers senior list as a Development Rookie. He made his List A debut with WA during the 2015-16 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup. The Fremantle paceman bowls quick pace given his slight build.
He is a highly regarded talent who was part of Australia’s Under-19’s side which toured England in 2015 and took 13 wickets in six games in WA in the reverse series earlier that year. Richardson has been a prolific wicket-taker at under-age level for WA and was named vice captain of the 2015-16 Under-19’s squad.
